About Our School
George I. Sanchez Charter School opened its doors in 1996 and serves the predominately Hispanic East End community. Sanchez serves approximately 640 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten and 7th - 12th grade. The campus offers an array of college and workforce preparation classes that include dual-credit early college and workforce certification classes through Houston Community College, as well as professional work experience opportunities in the areas of IT, accounting and engineering throught he Genysis Works program. A childcare program on campus is available to enrolled teen parents. Texas Childrens' Pediatric community-based clinic is located on site for convenient access to the school and surrounding community.

George I. Sanchez will transform today's education for a better tomorrow by creating a community learning center committed to providing college preparation and career readiness for all students by fostering lifelong relationships that begin in middle school and continue through adulthood.
