Welcome to Ms. Divers Web Page:
BIO:
My name is Christine Divers and I am new to George I Sanchez Charter High School this year. I am very excited to be apart of this dynamic team of teachers and faculty. I graduated from the University of The Incarnate Word and I will be starting my Masters in Education in January 2010. I am an ex-military brat which has led me to moving around the world. My home town is Sevilla, Spain where I spent my firsts 10 years of life and every summer after that until I was 19 years old. My moves and extensive travels have allowed me to appreciate other cultures, respect of those that are different then I, and appreciate the differences in all mankind. I have lived in San Antonio off and on and settled back here in late August 2003. I have four beautiful daughters ranging from 6 - 15 years old along with three dogs and two kittens. My home is extremely active and always busy.
Classes:
I wear a few hats here at George I Sanchez. I am the special education teacher which is my true passion as well as the Art teacher.
My currently goals are to help develop an art program in which students can recognize and develop their individual creative talents. I want the children to learn that art is what has helped our world progress and grow into everything we see around us. I want them to reach deep inside themselves and find their creative side and hopefully keep it going throughout their entire lives.
I am dedicated to providing high quality education to all my students and I am committed to raising the standards in education. With this I expect the most from my students. When in my class I expect them to perform to full expectations and give their best quality of work.
I invite you parents to come and visit us sometime. Visitors are always welcome and appreciated! Feel free to call me anytime at 270-8567 or email me at cdivers@aamainc.us
I look forward to a great year with your children and throughout the year.
