Adelante English as a Second Language (ESL)

AAMA Adelante also offers a basic/moderate to intensive ESL program that consists of six levels of instruction. Each level includes grammar, composition, reading and conversation. Each semester lasts five months and consists of an average of 14 hours a week. Classes are available from the Wayside main location daily Monday-Thursday from 9:00-1:00, 1:30 to 1:30 and 6:00-9:00 p.m. From the Quitman location, classes are offered Monday-Thursday from 9:00-1:00 and 6:00-9:00 p.m. From Cavalcade, classes are offered daily Monday-Thursday from 8:30-11:30 and 12:00-3:00 p.m. and from Galena Park, classes are offered daily from Monday-Thursday from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

To register in either one of these programs you must fill out an application for admission, take the baseline exam, attend the four hour orientation session and commit to meet attendance requirements.
