English 3B We will read a selection of texts dealing with slavery in the US during the 19th century and its significance to the 20th century. Students will write a documented research paper on the topic of slavery.
(Students: You should be finishing your research and starting to write your paper.)
English 4B Joseph Conrad's novel Heart of Darkness is our featured work as we end the year. We will compare the 1902 novel with the 1979 Francis Ford Coppola film Apocalypse Now.
By Friday, April 23, we will finish part 1. (pages 1-27)
